This would be for those dancers who are wanting to become more serious in their dancing and have an extra chance to be on stage and perform while being judged. I am looking for 4-9 dancers who will turn 9-14 years old in 2019. We would attend one competition around February or March of 2020. The dancers would prepare for the competition from the beginning of the 2019 season.

Some things that you need to be prepared for…

  1. This is a commitment and may include extra rehearsal times on top of the regular schedule. Dancers will be expected to work on their dancing at home. I would like to see that each dancer has at least one of their side splits and working towards the others. (this will come in consideration if auditions need to be held)

  2. If there are more than 9 dancers interested in the competition team there will be auditions held. (9 dancers is considered a small group at competitions)

  3. The dancers will have to be in at least the ballet class does not have to be apart of the group dance. (Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles and it is important for other styles)

  4. Classes may be held on different days of the weeks.

  5. Each group dance will have a costume ordered from anywhere between $30-$70.

  6. Matching warm up jackets will need to be purchased for all competition dancers.

  7. The competition will be 1 ½ hours to 2 ½ hours away depending on which competition is picked. This means at least 1 night, maybe 2, will be spent in a hotel.

  8. Prices for monthly tuition will increase in September from the regular studio classes and the rest of the months leading up to the competition. This is because there are entry fees for each dance entered into the competition. Multiple class or dancer discounts may not be available for competition dancers.

  9. Solos, Duets, and Trios are available for an extra price per month starting in October 2019.

  10. More competitions and teams will be added after the first year if there is interest.

  11. Dancers are able to take regular studio classes as well as competition classes
