All dance classes offered are focused on teaching not only dance but also creating self-discipline and confidence in each and every dancer!
A new dance store has opened in Scrubs Love in Eau Claire, called EC Dancewear. It is located in the Eau Claire Mall and offers everything a dancer will need for class (shoes, leotards, tights, etc.) She is carrying the Capezio Hanami ballet shoe I prefer.
**Ballet attire or athletic wear can be purchased at many retailers including; EC Dancewear, Target, Justice, and Shopko (specifically for younger kids). Ballet, Tap, and Jazz shoes are available at Shopko and Payless. Leotards and tights can also be purchased on discountdance.com or justforkix.com. (amazon.com also sells dance attire but their products are not as reliable)

You and Your Little Dancer- 30 minute classes where you and a 18 months to 2 year old can enjoy movement together. Classes will be focusing on the bond between you and the little dancer. Class will be a mix of the little dancer in your lap as well as holding them while moving around the room or the little dancer crawling or walking to explore. Different textures and movements will be introduced through objects used.
Clothing that you and your little one is able to move around in. No shoes required. More than welcome to wear a leotard, tights, and pink ballet shoes.
Lyrical - a class using ballet movements in a form that conveys a songs meaning through dance. Dancers 9 and older will expand their dance abilities by using the dance floor to tell a story through movement.
Tight fitting clothing that does not impede the dancers ability to move around (crop tops and spandex shorts are allowed). Tan lyrical half-sole shoe with straps, can find at Scrubslove dance store or order through the studio.
Boys wear clothes that they are able to move in. Tan lyrical half-sole shoe.
Adult Classes - fun dance classes that will give you a workout as well as learn a new style of dance or improve on the skills you already have. Ballet class will include barre work, floor work with stretch, turns and jumps, and small bites of choreography. Fitness Hip Hop class offers a warm up and stretch followed by fun follow-along dance routines and ending with a hip hop instructed routine.
Clothes that are easy to move in. Clean tennis shoes, bare feet, or socks.
Creative Dance - Available for dancers age 2-3 years old. This is a 30 minute dance class that is focused solely around getting kids moving. The dancers will use various toys/items that will spark their imagination and let them move freely to music in their own way!
Clothing that is able to move around in. No shoes required. More than welcome to wear a leotard, tights, and pink ballet shoes.
Ballet/Tap - offered for dancers 4 years to 5 year olds. This class is a combination class where the dancers will participate in ballet movements and then transitioned into an exciting class using tap shoes that help create coordination. The dancer will be able to learn 2 different dance techniques and genres in this 45 minute class.
Any color leotard/skirt and tights. Hair up and no jewelry. Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.
Boys wear semi-loose solid colored sweat pants/leggings and a white or solid colored shirt. Black ballet shoes and black tap shoes. (shoes at young age are unisex)
Jazz - energetic class moving the whole body. Using the fundamental skills learned in ballet class, students 6 years and older will be able to practice those skills in a fast moving class with fast moving steps to age appropriate songs.
Tight fitting clothing that does not impede the dancers ability to move around (crop tops and spandex shorts are allowed). Black jazz shoes (no laces).
Boys wear clothes that they are able to move in. Black jazz shoes.
Contemporary/Modern - a combination of ballet and jazz movements. Dancers 12 and older will use all dance techniques and genres in a more edgy and unique dance style.
Tight fitting clothing that does not impede the dancers ability to move around (crop tops and spandex shorts are allowed). Tan lyrical half-sole shoe with straps, at Scrubslove dance store or ordered through the studio.
Ballet - a foundation of all dance genres. Ballet classes start with barre exercises that help create posture, poise, and technique. Then class is moved to the floor where dancers will work on flexibility, balance, and rhythm through jumps, leaps, turns, and combinations.
Any color leotard/skirt and tights. Hair up in bun and no jewelry. Pink ballet shoes (prefer canvas split-sole in Scrubslove dance store) but payless shoes will be okay for students under age 11.
Boys wear semi-loose solid colored sweat pants/leggings and a white or solid colored shirt. Black ballet shoes. (shoes at young age are unisex)
Hip Hop - a class using new and old urban dance styles. Dancers 10 and older will learn isolated and more difficult body movements to beats and rhythms in age appropriate music.
Tight fitting clothing that does not impede the dancers ability to move around (crop tops and spandex shorts are allowed). Clean tennis shoes, jazz shoes, or socks.
Pointe - a higher level ballet using special shoes designed with a wood block inside to help the dancer perform on their “toes”. This class only offered to dancers 12 years and older who have had at least one year in a ballet class. Teacher approval is required as going on pointe too early can result in permanent damage to feet and ankles.
Any color leotard/skirt and tights. Hair up in bun and no jewelry. Pointe Shoes, will need to travel (can do as a class over a chosen weekend) to Woodbury or Scrubslove dance store to get fitted for the perfect shoes for the dancers feet.
Stretch class - add on class offered for dancers 8 and older who want to work on and learn more techniques for their flexibility.
Tricks/Acro - dancers will work on skills at their level. These skills will vary from cartwheels, front and side aerials, back and front walkovers, dance tricks, etc.
All Inclusive - a class specially designed for those dancers with special needs. This is for dancers who may need softer music and lights. Dancers will work on balance, flexibility, listening, following directions, and much more that is important for these dancers. These classes are taught by a licensed Special Education Teacher who knows the important skills these dancers need for not only improving their dancing but other skills as well.
